![]() End of Watch ended up winning a 2016 Goodreads Choice Award for Mystery and Thriller. I finished 6 books including End of Watch by Stephen King – which was also the last book in a series ( Bill Hodges Trilogy). I read The City of Mirrors during the Big Book Summer Reads Challenge last year. I finished the series with the 3rd book just months after it came out last year, The City of Mirrors – loved it! The Twelve was the 2nd book in The Passage series. Looking back through my Goodreads shelf, I see that the next book I read after Dark Places was The Twelve by Justin Cronin – another dark, but awesome book. After reading Gone Girl I wanted to read more books by the author, and went on to read Dark Places, which I also liked. This technique was also used, to great effect, in Gone Girl, Gillian Flynn. I love when this is done – and when the perspective turns out to be different enough to throw you. Fates and Furies was a life story being told from the multiple perspectives – that of a husband and then the wife. ![]() This month’s chain begins with Fates and Furies, Lauren Groff. A book is chosen as a starting point and linked to six other books to form a chain. ![]()
